Planning for the AFC Annual Meeting 2017 in Juneau is underway! This year, the meeting will be taking place Monday, February 13th – Wednesday, February 15th, 2017. So far, we have two confirmed VIPs from national partners – Ellen Teller, Director of Government Relations for the Food Research and Action Center, and Michael Ladd, USDA Food and Nutrition Services Tribal Liaison for the Western Region. We want to have a great turnout of AFC members from all over the state. Please spread the word about the meeting of anti-hunger and anti-poverty advocates from around the state to any organizations you think would be interested in attending!
The Juneau Travel Scholarship application is extremely easy and quick to fill out, and the deadline for the scholarship is Friday, December 9th COB. Please get yours in ASAP so we can get everyone to Juneau with the cheapest fares possible! If you are unsure if your organization’s AFC dues are current, please call Sarra at 907-222-3103.
